There’s always lots to enjoy in America’s happiest seaside town but a Beaufort Lowcountry Christmas is pretty special. Beaufort offers a plethora of cultural interests and Christmas fun for the whole family this holiday season.

Here are some suggestions to make your Christmas in Beaufort SC merry and bright:

Festival of Lights! Friday December 1st, 2017 from 6-9 PM Christmas Tree lighting by Santa himself and entertainment by local choirs, dance groups and clubs. Local businesses will stay open late so you can start your Christmas shopping or just browse and make a list.

Christmas Parade! December 3, 2017: The traditional Beaufort Christmas Parade starts at 3:00 pm and winds through the streets of downtown Beaufort. Take the kids and enjoy the floats, bands, community participants, fancy personal cars and trucks. 

Three Days of Fun for the Family – Some With Snow! December 1 – 3, 2017 The 30th Annual Festival of Trees to benefit Friends of Caroline Hospice is one of Beaufort’s most beloved holiday celebrations. This year’s Festival events include:

  • Friday, December 1st, School Tours: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Open to the public.
    Come and see the decorated trees and enjoy food vendors with themed dishes and lots of fun for the kids including a rock climbing wall, bungee jumping, face painting and more. Any child who signs up for their school’s tour will receive free admission, courtesy of Sea Smiles Paediatric Dentistry. General Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
  • Saturday, December 2nd, Frozen Day: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Open to the public. Meet special guests Elsa and Anna from Disney’s ‘Frozen’ who will be in attendance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy talking with the kids and taking photos and visit with our live reindeer, Sven, courtesy of Sea Island Carriage Co. General Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. 

  • Yoga in the Trees is scheduled for Saturday at 8 a.m. with Brittney Hiller. Yoga in the Trees is free, but donations are accepted.

  • Sunday, December 3rd, Kids Snow Day: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Open to the public. If Frozen Saturday wasn’t enough, a special Snow Day returns bigger and better than before. Bring the kids from 11am to 2pm to enjoy playing in the snow, building a snowman or having snowball fights with our outdoor snow fields bungee jumping, face painting and more. General Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Community Christmas Concert and Dessert: December 3, 2017: "An Evening in December" Hilton Head Island Community Church THREE SHOWS! 4:30p, 6:00p, & 7:30p. Tickets are $6 per person (includes a transaction fee).

Experience great musical performances of some of your Holiday favorites while enjoying delicious desserts in a festive atmosphere. Come 20 minutes before the show and enjoy a "Pre-Show" musical experience BACKSTAGE while you wait for the doors to open.

Attend a Tea Party! December 6, 2017 2 PM:  Winter Chocolate and Tea Party at the Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage in Ridgeland.

New York Times best-selling southern writers Lee Smith and Jill McCorkle and South Carolina's own musical superstar Marshall Chapman will take the stage together for an unforgettable evening of larger-than-life storytelling. Join us for a book and CD signing after the performance. Reserved seating tickets also include an off-site after party with Lee Smith, Jill McCorkle, and Marshall Chapman following the book signing.
